Citizen-scientists helping researchers log turtle sightings

Sea turtles have been sighted all over the world. They can be seen during recreational SCUBA and snorkeling tours or crawling up on beaches to lay their eggs. This application allows citizen-scientists to assist researchers in collecting sea turtle sightings and photographs. Researchers can then use these sightings and photographs to identify individual turtles through Photo ID programs or determine general sea turtle sightings rates for a particular area. Users will be able to see where sea turtle sightings have been logged from all over the world through turtle symbols presented on the map. We hope you enjoy logging your sea turtle sightings and contributing to sea turtle research and conservation. This app will also help educate people around the world about these magnificent creatures. Income from the app will support ProTECTOR Inc. sea turtle research and conservation.Limit turtle gender setting for nesting turtles

The app needs work on the permission request location. If storage is revoked the app will not load to even browse the design and gets stuck in a constant prompt for the permission.
